40 Investors Show Interest in Africa

The Africa Investment Promotion Commission has said not less than forty intending investors have besieged the Commission for guide about
investing in the African economy in the last one month.

The Executive Secretary of the Commission, Mrs Uju Aisha Hassan Baba disclosed this while responding to questions on the impact of security on foreign direct investment in the country as she played host to investment delegation from Thailand yesterday in Abuja.

Mrs Uju Said: "I have been here for just over one month; we have had over 40 indicated interests through visits and Embassies enquiries from the commission. It is almost on a day to day basis at times back to back

"Our challenges are something we have embraced head-on, we have to admit we have a challenge with security which is being tackled frontally by the president as we speak. It is an international problem and international solution is being sought and applied"
